Series created from essentially birch barks which texture totally fascinated me. This series explores the sensorial world of skins through collage with layers of a large range of fibres - from homemade paper, fabric to palm tree or cactus fibre.
2013 - "Apesanteur Marine" - 100x100cm - Birch barks, palm tree fibres, papyrus, coral, homemade paper, gauze and floated wood on natural linen.
In this piece I was searching to express fluidity and weightlessness, despite the rigid format of the barks.
2012 - "L'Horizon Intime" - 100x100cm - Birch barks, homemade paper, fabric, seaweed, floated wood and natural pigments.
This artwork transmits a powerful inner inner sensation perceived while admiring a most familiar landscape, l'Anse du Guip in Brittany's Golfe du Morbihan. A blissful moment of stillness, of magic and mystery.
2011 - "A Fleur de Peau I" - 100x100cm - Birch barks, homemade paper, fabric, natural mikados and pigments on linen.
Birch barks like an armor but sensitive enough to be pierced by a mass of arrows.
2011 - "A Fleur de Peau II" - 100x100cm - Birch barks, homemade paper, rope, floated wood, recycled metal pieces and natural pigments on linen.
Birch barks like an armor but sensitive enough to be pierced by a mass of arrows
2012 - "Invitation au Voyage I" - 100x100cm - Eucalyptus barks, cactus fibres, pearls, photography, seeds and natural pigments on linen.
This piece stands as an invitation to travel, to leave the frame, to expand and let oneself carried away by the waves and the elements, towards a promising horizon and future.
2012 - "Invitation au Voyage II" - 100x100cm - Eucalyptus barks, cactus and palm tree fibres, photography, floated wood, pearls and natural pigments on linen.
This artworks expresses the energy of ascension, this time inviting for a  spiritual journey.
